The University of the West of England (UWE) Philosophy Annual Graduate Conference invites philosophical and performance submissions on the topic of sound. We take sound to mean any acoustic phenomena in nature involved in communication and information grounding theoretical and practical use of reason.
The conference takes place on the 20th June at Spike Island, Bristol.
We are looking for submissions that can go beyond the sonic’s relation to human perception but are willing to consider a wide range of topics relating, in a very broad sense, to sound. We encourage innovative and experimental submissions.
The deadline for this call for papers is the 20th May. We will notify successful applicants by the 21st May. Please submit an abstract no longer than 500 words in length, along with contact details, to uwephilofsound@gmail.com. Presentations will be 20 minutes long.
