CFP: Fourth Annual Conference of the EPSSE

posted in: Call for papers

We are delighted to announce the Fourth Annual Conference of the European Philosophical Society for the Study of Emotions (EPSSE). The Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering the philosophical study of emotions by providing a forum for exchanging views, so as to increase the interaction or collaboration among its members. Although the title of the Society refers to European philosophers, EPSSE is open to people from other countries, as well as to those who are not philosophers by profession, but have an interest in interacting academically with philosophers.
The Annual Conference covers a wide variety of conceptual, methodological, ethical, and aesthetic issues in the analysis of emotion, as well as topics in the epistemology and ontology of emotional experience.
The 4th Annual Conference will be organized together with three Spanish academic organizations: The Department of Anatomy (Neuroanatomy) of the University Complutense of Madrid together with the Spanish Society of Anatomy; a group of historians of the emotions; and a group of philosophers of mind from the University Carlos III de Madrid. Accordingly, this conference aims to highlight the interdisciplinary character of our Society, and to reflect current research on emotions, by including sessions on the Anatomy, History, and Philosophy of Emotions.
