Società Italiana di Estetica (Italian Society of Aesthetics) Summer School 2019: “L’Estetica e le arti: traiettorie e percorsi”

The Società Italiana di Estetica (Italian Society of Aesthetics) is pleased to announce the 2nd edition of the Summer School, titled “L’estetica e le arti: traiettorie e percorsi”, which will take place at the ancient Conservatorio delle Orfane, in Terra Murata (Island of Procida), branch of the University of Naples “L’Orientale”.
The Summer School will be focused on some central issues of philosophical aesthetics, re-thought according to the theoretical and urging cultural tendencies of the present time and revolved around the current debates about contemporary art, image-theories, the public profile and design of the aesthetic, the new forms of perceiving and sharing of aesthetic or artistic contents.
Both didactic modules, frontal lessons and ‘conversations with artists’, will be held in Italian – the discussion can be held in Italian, English and French. The Summer School is addressed to graduate master, PhD students, as well as Postdocs and Researchers, working in the field of aesthetics.

The Summer School fee of 330 Euro is only intended to cover the expenses related to participants’ accommodation; it includes lunch and accommodation (in single or double rooms depending on hotel availability) from the afternoon of June 17th to the morning of June 21st.

A Scientific Committee will select from 15 to 25 applicants in all categories.
Notification of acceptance will be published on http://www.unior.it by April 2nd and all participants will be personally given notice of acceptance and informed to which official account (IBAN) the participation fee will be payable.
