Please see the final Call for Papers for the Dreams and Atrocity symposium, which will take place from 12-13 September 2019 at the Humanities Research Institute, University of Sheffield
The organisers invite abstracts from postgraduate and early career researchers that offer diverse interpretive theorisations or applications of the dream or dreamlike in relation to moments of historical atrocity, as represented in contemporary literature, art and cultural production.
The organisers are particularly interested in philosophical approaches to dreams that shed light on gender oppression, animal extinction, colonialism or race, to add to the themes covered by confirmed speakers (available on the website).
Please send 300-word abstract submissions and 50-word bios should be emailed to dreamsandatrocity2019@gmail.com by 5th August 2019.
