Awards and Prizes
New Horizons Award
As part of our commitment to increasing diversity and inclusion within British aesthetics and philosophy of art, the British Society of Aesthetics will bestow two New Horizons Awards to the best papers submitted to the Annual Conference by members of a group traditionally underrepresented in philosophical aesthetics. The winners will receive a £500 honorarium and a travel grant of up to £500 to attend the conference, and will be encouraged to revise the paper for submission to the British Journal of Aesthetics.

BSA Postdoctoral Award
The British Society for Aesthetics offers a postdoctoral award in philosophical aesthetics, tenable at any British philosophy department.

BSA Travel Stipends
The British Society of Aesthetics invites postgraduate students and early career researchers in the UK to apply for stipends of up to £800 towards travel and accommodation costs for participation in conferences or research visits to other universities (which may include select summer schools) on topics in aesthetics and the philosophy of art.

BSA Essay Prize
The British Society of Aesthetics runs a biennial essay prize competition, open to early-career researchers in aesthetics. The winning author will receive £1,500 and an opportunity to present the paper at the Society’s annual conference. The winning essay will normally be published in the British Journal of Aesthetics.
