This year's Proms has an exciting programme which includes music by Purcell, Berlioz, Takemitsu, Ravel, Stravinsky and Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood.

As last year's BBC Proms Literary festival was a success last year, it'll be running again in 2010. This year's highlights include Matthew Sweet who will give dramatic readings, celebrating the infamous villains from Victorian fiction, joined by award-winning biographer Michael Holroyd and writer Elaine Showalter; Ian McMillan discusses Gilbert and Sullivan, with writer Ian Bradley, author of a complete annotated version of their works; Prize-winning author Jamila Gavin, Jatinder Verma and Rana Mitter explore great Bollywood stories.

Exhibitions
Yorkshire Sculpture Park: David Nash
29 May 2010 - 27 February 2011

Yorkshire Sculpture Park presents an exhibition of work by David Nash, covering forty-years of his career. The exhibition includes sculpture, installation and drawings which are exhibited accross the park and includes a new exhibitions at the Underground Gallery, Longside Gallery and works from the artist's archive alongside sculpture in the open air and an exciting permanent outdoor commission. According to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park "This is envisaged to be the largest exhibition by the internationally acclaimed artist who has developed an eloquent understanding of trees, working with their traits to create sculpture, installation, projects and related drawings."

Hamlet at the Crucible, Sheffield
Thursday 16 September to Saturday 23 October 2010
To open the newly renovated Crucible Theatre in Sheffield, a bold and modern production of Hamlet with John Simm (from Life on Mars) in the lead role. This production is directed by Paul Miller (True West).
